An Interview with my Father, Rev. Albert B. Cleage Jr. - 1967/1968

My friend, historian Paul Lee, put this short clip of an interview of my father, Rev. Albert B. Cleage Jr. by Chet Huntley on You Tube.  It is from late 1967 or early 1968, not long after the 1967 Detroit riot. If you go to the You tube page and click on the "more information" section, Paul Lee has put the video in historical context.  I recommend reading it.

As one who loves placing people in context, it doesn't get any better than this. Living it - I suspect it was complicated. I hope we don't end up here again, but I suspect we will.

I wouldn't change a minute of it. It was so interesting and relevant. I think a lot of people never feel they are in the thick of the times and I sure did. I'm not any more but there are people out there protesting and trying to change things. Wish I had saved more!!
