Hi Kristin, I too am considering merging my 3 blogs into one. It is especially hard to build a following when your readers have to go to different places. I will catch you over at Finding Eliza.
I believe your decision to merge the two blogs is going to work out beautifully!
I started out at LiveJournal in January with the notion that I would set up two blogs for both sides of my family tree. But when I got going and finally made the decision to move from a hosted blog network to self-hosting the blog on my own, I saw where one blog could handle both sides of my family content nicely.
